Back in 2005, Las Vegas resident Jeff Mancini displayed
his exquisite collection of twenty vintage NHL endorsed games
during the tourney. He has spent the past ten years painstakingly
piecing this one of kind collection together. Included in
his display are twelve games made by the legendary manufacturer
Eagle Toys that covers the back half of the original six era
from 1956 to 1967, six of the most well known and appealing
games made by Coleco Industries as well as splendid examples
of both the 1994 Wayne Gretzky Overtime game and the 2004
version of the Stiga Stanley Cup game.
The Expo featured all of the accessories
that has made table hockey game collecting one of the hottest
mediums in the sports memorabilia industry. The vintage games
are museum quality and basically capture the evolution of
the hobby of table hockey from the mid 1950s to the present
while at the same time chronicles the incredible growth and
changes of the National Hockey League.
Folks saw the games that you remember from your
childhood that filled family rooms and basements across North
America. Jeff Mancini was on hand with some great accessories
for participants to view and purchase including a 2006 calendar
and written history of the original six era games that Eagle
Toys distributed, T-shirts of various games and some great
DVD and VHS selections of vintage games from the 1950s and
60's.
